FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. Is Hydrogen Oxygen therapy safe?

Yes, Hydrogen Oxygen Therapy, also known as Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (mHBOT), is considered safe when administered by trained professionals.

It is a non-invasive therapy, where individuals inhale a mixture of hydrogen and oxygen in a pressurised chamber. The therapy aims to increase oxygen levels in the body, promoting healing and overall well-being.

While mHBOT is generally safe, it may not be suitable for everyone. Individuals with certain medical conditions, such as untreated pneumothorax (collapsed lung), certain types of ear infections, a history of spontaneous lung rupture, or certain types of seizures, may not be candidates for this therapy.

If you are ever in doubt, please consult with a healthcare professional to determine if mHBOT is suitable for you.

2. How long do the sessions last?

Our standard session takes 60 minutes. Which includes 40 mins inside the pod, and 20 mins of pre-treatment and aftercare. For the best results, we recommend doubling the duration to 80 mins.

These sessions are designed to fit into your daily routine, whenever it suits you best.

3. How many sessions are optimal?

We recommend three to four sessions a month for optimal results.

4. Can it be combined with other treatments?

If you have any concerns about using hyperbaric hydrogen oxygen therapy in conjunction with medicines or other treatments, please consult your doctor before undergoing a session.

5. Are there side effects?

There are no known side effects for most of us. However, if you are known to have high blood pressure, or heart problems, or are pregnant, we ask that you consult your doctor first.

6. Is there ear pain due to increased pressure?

Just like taking an airplane, most of us will experience some pressure in the ears, however, the feeling will disappear once your ears get accustomed to the environment.

7. Do people hyperventilate?

The chances are very slim, however, if at any point you feel discomfort, there will be a staff member on hand to respond to your needs. Our caring and well-trained staff will be on hand should you need them.

8. What do you do inside the capsule?

Take a nap, read a book, reply to emails, watch an episode of your favourite TV show. Simply, unwind, sit back and relax in our pods.

9. Will I need to change?

No specific attire or clothing is required — come as you are. A hydrogen oxygen therapy session can be the perfect lunch break, early morning routine or a great way to cap off a long day.
